Polish Clients

Description

This collection consists of a handful of Polish clients of the International Institute of Lowell, particularly those cases between the 1930s and 1940s, during World War II. The International Institute handled social case work involving citizenship, refugee displacement, healthcare, jobs, and families. These resources helped immigrants settle into their new country and offered services to help build their own communities. Many of these records describe the difficulties that families experienced as they transitioned into America, from legal battles, to health issues, to displacement.
