The Armenian Community of Lowell
After being forced from their homes by the Ottoman Empire, Armenian people immigrated to many parts of the world, including Lowell, Massachusetts. Here, they faced numerous challenges, from getting their citizenship to bringing their remaining family to the United States. In these hard times, they formed a tight-knit community that persists to this day. Explore the stories of their challenges and how they made the most of the opportunities they found along the way.
